Dubrovnik Hidden Gems

Join us for an unforgettable all-female escape on the Adriatic coast. This is Dubrovnik the way it should be experienced. Not rushed, not over-scheduled, but a small group of women, a beautiful private villa, and six days that move at exactly the right pace.

We’ve worked with local experts to build an itinerary that takes you beyond the tourist path without ever losing the beauty of it. Oysters straight from the water in Pelješac, a sunrise hike up Mount Srd, boat days on the Adriatic, wine tasting in the countryside, and evenings that start with cocktails at the villa and end with belly laughs.

Come solo, come with a friend, we’ve taken care of every detail so all you need to do is book that flight, pack a bag and show up.

Your Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic, is your home for the next five nights. A private transfer will collect you from Dubrovnik Airport (or your local accommodation if you’ve arrived early) and bring you straight to our fabulous Soladéa Villa.

Unpack, settle in, find your spot by the pool. Let the pace of home slowly fall away.

As the light turns golden and the sun starts to melt into the islands, we gather on the terrace for our special Soladéa Welcome BBQ prepared by our local chef. Enjoy cold drinks, good music, and the kind of conversation that runs well into the night. Raise a glass to this adventure!

Day 2

Old Town Culture & Croatian Cooking

Mornings here are not to be rushed, so grab a coffee and breakfast on the terrace, and prepare for today.

When you’re ready, Dubrovnik Old Town is waiting. It is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, and somehow even better when you’re wandering it without a plan. Walk the ancient city walls with terracotta rooftops below you and the Adriatic stretching out beyond. Find a courtyard for a long, lazy lunch. Take a short boat ride over to Lokrum Island to swim, walk and properly switch off for a few hours.

In the evening, we’ll join Mikki for a Croatian cooking class in an intimate, homely setting. We’ll cook traditional (and delicious!) dishes, sit down to eat together, and somewhere between the food, the wine (and rakia) and the stories, we’ll laugh until late into the night, and then, reluctantly, return to our home.

Day 3

Island Escape & Beach Evening

We take to the water early and spend the day exploring the Elaphiti Islands by private boat. Hidden bays, caves, snorkelling, water that shifts from turquoise to deep blue depending on where you look, and absolutely nowhere to be. This is the Adriatic at its best.

Enjoy a relaxed island lunch before heading back toward the villa in the late afternoon, sun-kissed and content from a full day on the water.

This evening, we will head to our private beach dinner as the sun goes down. The most perfect way to end the day: pizza, wine, candles, music and sand between your toes.

Day 4

Sunrise Hike & Oyster Experience

Today, we rise before the city does. The hike up Mount Srđ is early and worth every step (but like all of our activities, this, too, is completely optional for those who don’t wish to wake up early). As the light breaks over Dubrovnik and the islands begin to catch the first gold of the morning, there is a stillness up there that is hard to put into words.

The rest of the morning and afternoon is entirely your own. Sleep it off poolside, book a treatment at a local spa / salon, read your book cover to cover, or head down to the beach. No plans, no obligations.

Later we follow the coast to the  Pelješac Peninsula, famous for some of the finest oysters in the Adriatic. We arrive as the sun is lowering and settle in for a tasting by the water. Local wine, homemade snacks, oysters and mussels pulled fresh from the sea, and a setting so quietly beautiful it almost feels like it shouldn’t exist (but it does, and we’ve found it just for you).

Day 5

Mindful Morning & Vineyard Dinner

The last full day begins on our terrace. A gentle yoga session to slow the mind down and let you arrive fully in the final stretch of the week. The day opens up and gives you back your time – the pool, the sun, the view, the book you’ve been meaning to finish.

As evening falls, we drive out into the wine region where the vineyards reach into the hills and the world feels quieter. A table awaits among the vines and olive trees, local wine poured generously, seasonal food cooked simply and well. The group around you has changed since that first dinner on the terrace, and you feel it in the easiness of the evening.

A beautiful way to close the week.

Day 6

Our Final Morning Together, Until Next Time

Nobody is in a hurry this morning (unless you have a flight to catch), and that’s exactly the point.

Breakfast on the terrace, coffee going cold because the conversation is too good to interrupt. Five days ago you arrived as strangers, today you leave as friends. This morning, the goodbye takes longer than expected, and that says everything.

The week has done what it was supposed to do. Something in you has slowed down, opened up, settled.

You leave with a slower heartbeat, new friends, and the kind of memories that find you on an ordinary Tuesday and pull you straight back here.

Private transfers will carry you to the airport or local post-retreat accommodation when you’re ready.

By now, we think you’ve found your Soladéa. We hope you’ll come back and find it again.

Stylish, private villa along the Dubrovnik Riviera

A beautifully restored stone villa tucked into the hillside village of Brsečine, just 15 minutes from Dubrovnik’s old town. It faces south all day, so the light is with you from morning until the sun dips behind the islands in the evening. The beach is a short walk down the road.

Inside, three bedrooms en suite and 2 with shared bathroom, closets to unpack, and the interiors feel considered without trying too hard. Outside is where you’ll spend most of your time. Lemon trees, olive trees, lavender and rosemary frame a private pool with views straight out to the sea, and the terraces are generous enough that everyone can find their own spot.

This is the kind of place that makes you want to start your days slowly.

Meet Your Trip Hosts

Nicole

Hi, I'm Nicole

I'm the friend everyone comes to for trip planning advice, especially when it comes to the places off the beaten track. Forty countries in and counting, I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, spent six years in Phuket, a short stint in Spain, and now I live in London, though my heart always finds its way back to the sea. I got married in 2022, and while my hubby and I love to travel together, travelling with girlfriends is always so special. There's a different kind of freedom in a trip that's just for you. By day I work in social media and marketing, but the rest of the time I'm planning my next trip, searching for the best matcha in town, and stopping to say hello to every dog I pass. Curating trips for women who love to travel as much as I do has been a dream years in the making.

Rebecca

Hi, I'm Rebecca

Travel has taken me a lot of places, but Dubrovnik is the one that kept me. I grew up in the UK before swapping grey skies for the Dalmatian coast in 2020. What started as a holiday in Dubrovnik turned into forever. I fell in love with this country and just couldn't leave. Soon after, I followed my passion of working in travel, and founded Vibe Croatia. I've spent years uncovering the best of this country, the hidden coves, the family run restaurants, the sunset spots only locals know about, and have curated countless itineraries for my global clients. Twelve years as a flight attendant, plus a background in yachting and events, means travel isn't just my job, it's in my blood.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are flights included?

Flights to and from the destination aren’t included in the trip price. You will need to book these independently. You’ll find recommended arrival and departure airports, along with suggested timings, in the FAQs below.

Fly into and out of Dubrovnik International Airport (DBV).

For the 22 – 27 August 2026 trip, please arrive on or before 22nd August 2026 to ensure you do not miss anything.

For the 1 – 6 September 2026 trip, please arrive on or before 1st September 2026.

Before 4PM ideally. The welcome BBQ dinner will be from 6PM onwards at the villa, which is located approximately 45-50 minutes from the airport.

On your final day, we will enjoy breakfast together. If you would like to enjoy a slow morning, we suggest booking a flight after 2PM. This will ensure that you have enough time to enjoy the morning before heading to the airport, which can take up to 1 hour to get to.

Yes, arrival transfers from Dubrovnik Airport to the villa, and departure transfers from the villa to Dubrovnik Airport are included in the trip price.

We will provide a full suggested packing list upon booking. However, as it will be summer in Croatia during your trip, we suggest light weight clothing, and something warm for the evenings in case it gets chilly. In addition, pack swimsuits should you wish to participate in swimming activities and sunscreen to protect you from the sun.

If you take prescription medication, ensure you bring enough to last the entire duration of the trip, plus a few extra days in case of travel delays. Carry a copy of your prescription with you in case you need to visit a clinic or pharmacy while abroad.

As breakfasts, dinners, transport and activities are included in the cost of the itinerary, you should ensure that you bring enough to cover lunches, snacks, gratuities and any shopping that you would like to do. We recommend budgeting an additional €50 per day.

August in Dubrovnik is hot, sunny, and dry, with daily highs typically reaching 28℃ to 31℃ (82℉ – 88℉) and very little rain. It is the peak of summer, featuring about 11–13 hours of daily sunshine, warm sea temperatures around 25℃ (77℉), and pleasant, balmy evenings.

The average daily temperature in September ranges from 16-19°C (61℉ – 67℉), with the highest still a lovely 24°C (about 75°F), and the lowest temperature is only around 13°C (about 56°F). The average sea temperature in September is around 23°C (about 73°F), making it still ideal beach weather.

From late 2026, all travelers from visa-exempt countries, including the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Australia, will need an ETIAS permit to visit most of Europe. Please keep an eye on these rules as the departure date draws closer, and feel free to email us with any enquiries.

We require that everyone traveling with us be able to comfortably walk for 3-5 miles per day, unassisted, and without difficulty can navigate stairs, uneven streets or paths, and occasional steep terrain. Most of our trips require this level of physical mobility and fitness, especially when visiting historic towns and landmarks where vehicle access is limited and walking often offers the best experience. In addition, most of our accommodation has only stair access to get to your room and other areas of the accommodation.

Please be aware that the itinerary, activities and accommodation are subject to change. These changes can happen with little notice due to availability, poor weather, seasonal changes, or other circumstances beyond our control – but we’ll always do our best to ensure it has little impact on your experience. From time to time, we may also make changes to your itinerary to try out new ideas and keep things fresh and exciting.

Should you have additional questions, or something is unclear, please feel free to email us directly at soladeacollective@gmail.com or chat to us on WhatsApp or Book a Call ♥︎
